Varndean students from Years 8 and 9 competed to be the official Varndean School entry into the South East's Create and Cook Competition 2016.
Students worked in teams of two to design and produce a 2 course meal using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. To help them form their ideas and hone their skills there were a series of workshops to attend and a masterclass from professional chef Andrew Mackenzie. The results were fantastic and you can see some snapshots from the workshops and the final below. Find out the results here...

Today is the last day of our wonderful Librarian, Mr Katz. Mr Katz has had an incredible impact on not just the Reading Room, but the entire school community. We are so sad to see him go but we wish him well in his next adventure. We will remember you always in 'Katz Korner'! https://t.co/SAosFxbPQD
