School Leader - Safeguarding
Salary Grade 5/6
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time (39 weeks)
Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding School Leader to work within the pastoral and admin support teams within one of the four schools which operates in the wider structure of Varndean School. The postholder will also act as assistant to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, providing support for students with particular needs with regards to child protection, and those facing behavioural, social & emotional barriers to learning.
The four School bases are busy and productive areas that require someone with the flexibility to deal with normal, daily student support routines at one moment; monitor the students’ behaviour and academic development at another, and to provide information to parents and other stakeholders. They will also provide valuable admin and pastoral support to the Safeguarding Lead and the Deputy Head of School as they go about their duties.

LGA Scale 5, Points 12 -17. 18.5 hours per week and LGA Scale 6, Points 19 - 22 18.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only).
Starting Salary (points 12 & 19): £20,561.64
