Teacher of Dance part time 0.4
Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding teacher of Dance for a September 2018 start part time 0.4. An ability to teach PE may be an advantage although not essential.
The busy and productive Dance department provides an extensive programme of activities, including trips to dance performances, visits from specialists from dance companies and opportunities to perform both within and for the local community. It’s popularity as a GCSE/BTEC option subject has recently grown due to the expert teaching and opportunities provided at Key Stage 3 which we are looking to continue. The new appointee will be given opportunities to develop within the department and to assist the Head of Dance as she sets about fulfilling the school’s ambitious academic agenda.
Varndean School has recently been shortlisted for the most creative school at the TESSA’s, the TES awards ceremony. Creativity and expression is at our core.
