    Today was the Varndean School Comic Relief Bake off 2019, BUT this year we introduced a new twist. Not only were the cakes being judge on presentation, innovation and taste but also reduced sugar content. This extra element didn't put off our bakers, and this year, as ever, we had some fantastic entries. 

    Thank you to Andrew from the Local for coming along to help with the judging. 

    It was a close call and thank you to everyone who took part but we are excited to reveal the Varndean School Bake Off champions are... Ruby, Malachy and Ginny!!

    The judges were blown away by the light and fluffy sponge, the on theme presentation and the overall effort that went in.
