Ben awarded the Henry Dunant Medal.
We are proud to announce that our school nurse, Ben Stapley, has been awarded the Henry Dunant Medal. He was recognised, along with the 43 Red Cross volunteers who were on duty at the Shoreham Air show on Saturday 22nd August 2015, for the amazing support they offered. They provided first aid to 20,000 spectators when the tragic accident occurred. Ben was part of the team at the medical centre triaging, looking after the injured and those who were in shock.
The Henry Dunant Medal is the highest award of the Red Cross Movement, named after the organisation’s founder. It is awarded to, “recognise and reward outstanding services and acts of great devotion, mainly of international significance, to the cause of the Red Cross/Red Crescent by any of its members".
Well done Ben.
