Next event Tuesday 8th March, 6-7.30pm.
Varndean and Dorothy Stringer Schools would like to invite parents and carers to an informal meeting to share and explore tips for talking to children and young people about relationships, sex and safety. This session will provide information about sexual health and local services as well as explore issues that are affecting our young people such as sexual orientation, e-safety and pornography. Information on the relationships and sex education in school will also be shared.
Parents and carers said the following about our last 'Talking to your teen...' session:
A very useful evening updating us on current trends and the situation locally regarding drugs and alcohol use by teenagers in our area. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant – really informative in a very friendly way. Every parent needs to come. Thank you.
Where: Varndean School, Balfour Road
When: Tuesday 8th March 2016, 6-7.30pm

For #WomensHistoryMonth, our Year 8s have been having lessons on notable women in history and the story of how women got the vote in England. Equality, kindness and standing up for what's right continues to play a large part of Varndean's ethos. https://t.co/dMsV2Hyy6F
