What are you reading?
Thursday 3rd March is World Book Day. Here at Varndean we will be running a whole school DEAR session in the morning, with students and staff dropping everything and reading for 20 minutes! The school library, the Reading Room, will be running a number of events at lunch time on the day:
-
Year 7 Bookbuzz Competition winners announced and prizes presented!
-
The annual Varndean World Book Day Picnic - teachers will read a passage from a favourite book to students as they picnic on the library floor!
-
The “Book Jacket Potato” competition! Students need to decorate and dress up a potato as a character from a book!
