Varndean students teach streetdance to Balfour Primary pupils.
Ms Thomas, Teacher of Dance organised the sessions and said our students were 'excellent role models for the primary pupils: positive, enthusiastic, motivating and delivered a well-planned and professional workshop. I thought they did Varndean school proud and represented the school in a professional way.'
"At Balfour I enjoyed teaching the street dance workshops to Year 4's because they listened and they enjoyed it so much. This experience has given me skills in leadership and working with younger children which are good skills for employers in the future". Kai Richens, Year 9
"In the workshop I liked that the Year 4's really listened and took on board our ideas. This experience has helped me to be more confident to lead things in front of other people." Skye Dummer, Year 9
"The thing I enjoyed most about teaching the street dance workshop was supporting the students in creating their own street dance ideas in groups. This experience has given me the skills to teach younger children dance in the future." Holly Willicombe, Year 9
