Latest Covid-19 guidance

We continue to act with caution in relation to Covid-19. We are vigilant with our control measures and we monitor positive cases daily to try to keep cases to a minimum.

Following DfE guidance we have implemented a risk assessment and a monitoring plan to track positive cases. We will be acting with further caution when we see 5% of positive cases and may reintroduce further protective measures if needed.

From Monday 29th November face coverings should be worn in all communal areas, assembly and the canteen by staff, students and visitors, unless they are exempt. Students who are exempt do not need to wear masks and need to display their sunflower badge.

To families with students who have tested positive recently we wish everyone a quick and full recovery. Work is available on Google classroom for those who are well enough to complete it and school bases are available should you need to contact them.

Our approach is to 'keep Covid out' of our school community as much as possible and we require families' help with the following:

  • watch out for symptoms
  • please help us reduce the number of possible positive cases by keeping your child at home if they display any Covid symptoms, access a PCR test and let us know in school via the usual absence reporting methods
  • please ask your child to complete a lateral flow test every Wednesday and Sunday and report this to us every Sunday.

In-school testing will also be carried out at various points in the year.
