Dance Students Perform at University of Brighton

Dance students demonstrate their skills to University students.

Some of our dance students recently went to the University of Brighton to help showcase some of the work they do in the dance department here at school. Well done to Kaia, Sara and Bella, and of course Ms Macdonald and Ms Thomas in the dance department! This was a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the high levels of teaching here as well as continuing the sharing of good practice with colleagues across the city. Below is the feedback we received from Fiona Smith, Principal Lecturer.
I am writing to say a huge thank you for bringing some of your dancers to perform at the university as part of our ‘dance sharing’. The event was  put on for the benefit of our first and second year students; as you know our PE teacher training students come  to us with very varied dance background, some with a great deal of knowledge and experience and others none. It is so valuable for them to see high quality work and to gain an understanding of what young dancers can achieve when taught by someone with passion and knowledge.
I thought the trio was ‘exquisite‘ and very sophisticated…it was the talked about dance of the evening!
Please pass on my thanks and congratulations to the dancers.
Kind regards

Fiona Smith
