Year 9 netball team making strides.
On Wednesday, the Year 9 netball team took part in a tournament under horrendous conditions as Storm Doris was just warming up.
The team were exceptionally high spirited and focused and their play was consistent throughout the tournament. The defence was particularly strong, marking tightly and minimising shooting opportunities for the opposition. Player of the match was Erin Townsend who displays outstanding potential as a Goal Keeper. For further improvement they need to work on being more dynamic in their movement and focusing on the spatial awareness.
Out of the 5 matches played, they won 3 and lost 2, narrowly missing out on the semis by 2 points.
The players were;
Lola Butterfield
Coral Butterfield
Becky Fuller
Leah Churchill
Erin Townsend
Ella Quin-Stanley
Miaya-Lyn Harman
Well done girls - your team spirit, effort and company were fantastic.
