Cambridge Acceptance
We received some fantastic news from a school leaver this morning that has made everyone at Varndean feel hugely proud. Amit Balter a former student has received a place to read Maths at Clare college, Cambridge, starting this academic year. He also told us that it had been his goal for several years, and thanked his teachers for paving the path for him to achieve it.
"I am fairly certain it was on the trip to Cambridge in year 11 when I set my eyes on studying there. This goal I always had in mind pushed me to work diligently and persistently for both my GCSEs and A-Levels. I was eventually given a place to read maths."
We wish Amit all the best for his new and exciting start at Cambridge. We have loved sharing his story with current students as an example of someone who set and achieved his goals. Anything is possible.
