8th -10th April: D of E Silver Practice Expedition
While others were enjoying their relaxing holidays 66 of our year 10 students boarded a coach for Ashdown Forest. Here they completed 3 days of walking and 2 nights camping in the forest. The ground was very muddy on arrival and of course it rained BOTH nights. Dispite this Mrs Browning was so impressed by the positive attitude of the students, conditions were tough but they just got on with it!
Now we are all looking forward to better weather in the summer when we head to the New Forest for the assessed expedition.
‘Though it was rainy, cold and muddy, our team grew closer than ever. We pulled together to have fun and complete our practice expedition. We can’t wait for the assessed, let’s hope it is better weather!’ Becky

One advantage of living in my school catchment is that you get to find and collect lost property on your dog walks @VarndeanSchool - anyone lost a blazer? https://t.co/aV45qbcTRt
