In the penultimate session with Girls Code at the Amex stadium, Albion in the Community arranged for the students to take apart some PC towers and a laptop. They were given sets of screwdrivers and ‘left to it’. With some guidance from IT First – the Albions IT providers – they managed to disassemble all the parts, identify it all using iPads and Google search facilities, and then put them back together again.
The girls started off gently but soon got into it. They were a bit sceptical about ripping the front off the laptop, but with a bit of help from Dave from AITC, they managed it. They all had a super time.
