Invigilators required for exam sessions.

Varndean School are looking for enthusiastic, committed and flexible invigilators for the summer exam sessions and beyond.

We are one of the top performing secondary schools in Brighton and Hove and examinations form a vital part of what we do. Last summer alone, students sat over 4500 individual exams. To help ensure that every student has the best possible chance of success, the school employs invigilators to oversee the exams. We are looking for a team prepared to work on an on-call basis to support us in meeting the varying needs of a wide range of qualifications and students.

Payment is on an hourly basis of £9.84ph for invigilators and £10.24ph for those who progress to the higher level of lead invigilator. Full training is available.

Our school is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our care and you will be expected to share this commitment.

We welcome applications from all parts of our community and actively seek to reflect the social and cultural diversity of our student intake in our staff.

If you are interested in joining us, please complete the application form and send/e-mail it, with a covering letter, to Gareth Hughes, Deputy Headteacher, Varndean School. Email:
