Start date: January 2022
Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding Teacher of Music.
At Varndean we believe that arts education is a right more than a luxury. Music plays an important part in our curriculum at key stage 3 and 4 and we aim for every student in key stage 3 to have access to, and tuition in, a musical instrument. In addition we want our students to benefit from the widest opportunities to take part in ensembles, groups, choirs and orchestras.
Varndean is a successful school and we have ambitious plans to make sure all of our children receive a world-class education. High quality professional development, supportive colleagues and hard working students make Varndean an excellent place to work.
We hope you will be interested in joining us. If so please complete the application form and send/e-mail it, with a covering letter to Lynn Hill, Director of Finance and Operations, Varndean School firstname.lastname@example.org.
The closing date is 9am on Monday 4th October.
Varndean School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We welcome applications from all parts of our community as we aspire to have a staff body that matches the social and cultural diversity of our student intake.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
