School Attendance Matters!
Varndean has received a letter of congratulations for our 2016-2017 attendance from Dr Jo Lyons, Assistant Director, Families, Children and Learning (Education and Skills) at Brighton and Hove City Council. As we all know attendance is very important and can have huge implications to a pupils overall performance.
We have been recognised for being above the national average, that is currently 94.8% in the secondary sector.
We have been thanked for our commitment and focus the school gives to ensure excellent school attendance.
We aim to continue this excellence for the benefit of our pupils learning, and giving them the chance to achieve. We are lucky to have such an amazing team that strive for the best for our pupils.
